A Day of Records and Triumphs! On Friday the 12th of January, St Andrew’s School Welkom was a bustling arena of competition and camaraderie as Bishops and Founders clashed in the annual Inter-House Athletics showdown! Record-Breaking Moments that took place: Prisca Muteba, Girls under 17, broke the record for Long Jump, Shot Put and 300m. She also accumulated the most points of the day. Tshepi Thabana, Boys under 19, broke the record for Discus and Javelin. He also accumulated the second most points of the day. Jaywon Berries, Boys under 17, broke the record for 300m and 200m. Ashton Mimba, Boys under 17, broke the record for 300m and 100m. Ashlynne Janke, Girls under 10, broke the record for 300m. Kabo Lefakane, Girls under 10, broke the record for 300m. Mason Mugadza, Boys under 10, broke the record for 300m. Ntando Bovungana, Boys under 13, broke the record for 300m. Linda Klaas, Girls under 13, broke the record for 300m. Catrice Ravhura, Girls under 14, broke the record for Shot Put. Refuwe Hans, Boys under 16, broke the record for 300m. Nyakallo Potsisa, Boys under 16, broke the record for 300m. Tintswalo Mashele, Girls under 16, broke the record for 300m. Bino Lekama, Boys under 17, broke the record for 200m. Ben Tshitenge, Boys under 19, broke the record for Long Jump. Mark Mugadza, Boys under 19, broke the record for Long Jump. Relay Records Toppled: Bishops soared in Girls U10 and U12, while Founders dominated Boys U11. Trophy Honors:  Ashlynne Janke (Girls U10) and Ntando Bovungana (Boys U13) claimed Senior Primary Victrix and Victor Ludorum. Prisca Muteba (Girls U17) and Tshepi Thabana (Boys U19) earned the coveted titles of High School Victrix and Victor Ludorum. Class Participation Champions: Junior Primary: The Grade 2’s stood tall with an impressive 91.7% participation! The Grade 4 and 12 classes securing a second and third place with their excellent participation. Overall Triumph: Founders emerged as the overall champions, amassing an impressive 903 points and securing the coveted Spirit Trophy!

Dear St Andrew’s School Welkom community We are thrilled to announce that tomorrow marks the much-anticipated annual derby against CBC Bloemfontein! This cherished tradition brings together our school community for a day of spirited competition and camaraderie. Our teams will be showcasing their talent across various disciplines, including soccer, hockey, and chess. It’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of our players, coaches, and support staff that we are able to continue this tradition. As we embark on this journey, we extend our best wishes to all players, coaches, and parents. Safe travels to everyone making their way to the fields. Let’s remember the essence of sportsmanship, supporting each other, and most importantly, having fun.
